Challenges of Prosthodontic practice are multiple - Biological, Mechanical and Artistic. Mastering each component is not only difficult but almost impossible as it involves in depth understanding knowledge of biomechanics, developing high degree of dexterous skill and incorporating artistic inputs. Hence a Prosthodontist needs to evolve himself into these three dimensional components to deliver state of art rehabilitation work.
This evolution is only possible through years of dedicated knowledge accumulation, critical analysis of its application into practice and incorporation of artistic skills. Such devotion to Prosthodontic practice is achievable when one feels the emotion of Pride in Prosthodontic practice in macro and micro aspect of components mentioned above.

He did his MDS (2012) in Prosthodontics from SDM College Of Dental Sciences, Dharwad and PhD (2020) in Neuromuscular Dentistry from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He has numerous national and international publications in his name in the field of dental occlusion and temporo-mandibular joint disorders, smile design, esthetics and
has conducted various successful lectures and workshop on the same topics.

We are excited to welcome our very own alumni from JSS Dental College & Hospital. Dr. Surabhi Mahidhar, a Professor in Prosthodontics, finished his Post Graduation in Prosthodontics in 2008. He holds his private practice at Madanapalle. His father is Dr. Divakar Rao, BDS who has been practicing since 1981 at Madanapalle.
Dr. Mahidhar has been conducting workshops all over the country for ten years and holds interest in Full Mouth Rehabilitations and Implantology.
Dr. Mahidhar is the founder of SM SERIES OF PROSTHODONTICS and SM DENTAL STUDY GROUP. SM series helped many graduates and post graduates in 2020-2021 in the form of 125 online webinars. Dr. Mahidhar conducts workshops on FPO, FMR AND OCCLUSION AND IMPLANT PROSTHODONTICS all over the country and has finished about 190 workshops till date.
He has achieved many nominations and awards for dental talent, outstanding dentist and prosthodontist in many platforms in the country.
We are thrilled to extend a cordial welcome to our esteemed guest lecturer from Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, Dr. Umesh Pai. With a distinguished career dedicated to dental education and research, Dr. Umesh Pai brings a wealth of expertise and insights to our conference.
He is an Associate Professor in Department of Prosthodontics in Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore. He did his Post Graduation in Prosthodontics in the year 2006 from KLES Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum and underwent training in Implantology and maxillofacial prosthodontics from trainers of Kings College, London.
He completed his certificate course in CBCT from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. He is an ITI as well as an ICOI Fellow and has many national and international publications in his name in high quality journals. He won the best academician award in the specialty of Prosthodontics in the year 2016 and 2017 consecutively, and visited Tokushima University, Japan, in 2017 to further his interest in learning dental sleep medicine and sleep apnoea and is starting a course in MCODS, Mangalore along with Proff. Jeoffrey Okeson and team from University of Kentucky.

We are delighted to extend a cordial welcome to our very own alumni Dr. Supriya Chauhan, who completed her Post Graduation in Prosthodontics. She is a specialist Prosthodontist and Implantologist in NMC Hospital, Dubai and licensed life caster in UAE and India.
With the knowledge and skills of dental castings, she started her passion project, casting keepsakes. Keepsakes is the only celebrity 3D casting company in Dubai. She was bestowed with the title of best entrepreneur icon in UAE and Saudi Arabia by Tally Awards 2022 and Best Artist IWD 2021.
Her cast of 3 generations holding hands was selected as a finalist at Global art awards, Japan in 2020 amongst 700 other sculptures.
In this journey of life casting she was fortunate to cast hands of lots of lovely families in India and the UAE including a few royal family members, ace sportspersons, actors, spiritual leaders of ISKON etc. She was featured in all the leading newspapers of the UAE and also few magazines like Wondermom magazine and Namaste India magazine in Dubai.
She made hand casts that represented “we are here for you” in sign language. She frequently teaches castings online and offline, because of which lots of women from rural India have started earning livelihood. She taught castings to her mother and her mother is now the director of her company Keepsakes Enterprises Private Limited and provides casting services in 20 cities in India.
We are honored to welcome our guest lecturer, Dr. Manupreet Kaur, who completed her Post Graduation in Prosthodontics in 2016 from CDCRI, Rajnandgaon. Since 2016, she is into academics as well as maintains a flourishing practice of her own as well as specialty consultation practice.
She is a fellow in Implant Dentistry from International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and also from American Association of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Maxicourse- India.
She has done a course in Dental Photography from prestigious Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal. She has also cleared Part 1 exam of Indian board of Prosthodontics. She is serving as an Executive committee member of Indian Prosthodontic society - Chhattisgarh state branch for the second time.
She has been a secretary and now a president-elect of IDA- Rajnandgaon branch. She has got many publications to her credit in indexed journals of various national & international level. She has been appreciated with many prizes and awards at various distinguished places. She has an excellent oration skill, has delivered many keynote lectures at national and international platforms.
Having completed her BDS from Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences and MDS from JSS Dental College and Hospital, working as Assistant Professor since 23-9-2009 till date in this esteemed and renowned institution.
She had represented JSS university in various scientific deliberations at various National and International conferences through Scientific papers and Poster presentations, and in a couple of guest lectures at the State and National and International levels.
She had completed an Ergonomics course from RECOUP International, Bangalore. Diploma in Nutrition from Shaw academy, which would facilitate nutritional guidelines rendered to geriatric patients. Completed her Ph.D. in the Faculty of Dentistry in 2020 and received a DBT research grant for her Ph.D. thesis and completed ICMR-funded research topic as well.
She has to her credit best faculty researcher award from Khazakstan University, and JSS Academy of Higher education and Research. She has numerous best scientific paper presentations awarded from various national and international conferences. She has to her credit three patents - the development of polyherbal Emul gel and Denture cleansing tablet published which has received appreciation from Group Pharmaceuticals for further commercialization of the products.
We are thrilled to extend a cordial welcome to our esteemed PCC faculty, Dr. Kirpa Johar, who graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, in 2005. He received his Master’s Degree Certificate in Laser Dentistry from Vienna in February 2009 and became a certified trainer from Dale Carnegie Training Institute in December 2009. He is the founder and clinical director of Haridaan Dental Clinic Bangalore, which was established in 2006. The clinic is for non-invasive advanced Laser Dentistry using hard tissue, soft tissue, and therapy lasers.
He is the founder of Haridaan Laser Dental Academy which was established in 2011. He is also the founder and director of Haridaan Laser Therapy Academy, which was established in 2014. It was formed to train medical and para-medical fraternity on photomedicine and its clinical applications using lasers.
He is an inventor of Haridaan Lase, a portable effective low-level laser therapy device for pain relief, neuropathy pain, bed sores, and minor wounds. He authored a textbook named “Fundamentals of Laser Dentistry” in 2010 and a chapter “Lasers in Dentistry” in the “Handbook of Photomedicine” by Harvard Medical USA published in 2013.
